We warmly invite prospective students and parents/caregivers to our annual Open Evening and Option Evening, where you will discover the wide range of unique and rich learning opportunities available to your year 7-10 children when they join our Albany Junior High School (AJHS) community.

Our school’s four year progressive programme provides curriculum diversity, challenge and a personalised learning programme which fosters and supports the emerging adolescents individual learning and wellbeing needs and aspirations.

We take pride in what our students have access to, and the most meaningful way to show this is to take you on a personalised tour of our school to explore, interact and engage with our curriculum and culture.

You’ll visit areas such as;

• Maths rooms

• Language rooms

• Technology rooms

• Library

• Whanau atriums

• Homerooms

• Gymnasium

• Music studios

• Dance studios

• Visual arts studio

Your tours will be led by one of our current students, who can share their AJHS experience with you.

We will also showcase the rich learning opportunities available for our Y9/10 students. This is an opportunity to come along with your child and learn about all the diverse courses our faculties have on offer in 2026.
