AJHS Sport 2023
Welcome to AJHS Sport for 2023. We hope that you are ready for a busy year of school sport. We have a wide range of sports on offer with school clubs, zone day opportunities, regular season competitions, sports camps and NZ AIMS Games.
Sports registrations and expression of interest forms for ALL sports that we currently have on offer are now open. This is for all summer and winter sports codes. All sports information, expression of interest and registration forms can be found on the school website under SPORT.
Sports Information Evening:
Wednesday 15th February 4pm - 6pm in the PAC (Performing Arts Centre) … before our Meet The Teacher evening.
This is an opportunity for you to meet our Sports Staff and ask any questions that you may have. We will have copies of our Sports Guide available for you to take away on the night. It is not compulsory to attend, but we look forward to seeing those that can make it.

Basketball Year 7 and 8 - Semester 1 (Term 1 and 2)
Registrations close 12pm Friday 17th February 2023
Year 7 boys trials - Thursday 16th February 2023 - 3.30pm to 5pm
Year 8 boys trials - Friday 17th February 2023 - 3.30pm to 5pm
Year 7 and 8 girls trial details will be advised after registrations close.
Netball Year 9 and 10
Registrations close Wednesday 15th February 2023
Trials - Thursday the 16th February (8.45am - 12pm)
Netball Year 8 (Year 7 will be after camp)
Registrations close Friday 24th February 2023
Trials - Tuesday 21st February (8.45am - 1.30pm)
Orienteering Sprint Series Year 7 - 10
Registrations for event 1 close 10th February 2023
Year 7 - 9 Softball Term 1 Competition
Registrations close 17th February 2023
Water Polo - Year 7 to 10
Registrations close Friday 17th February 2023
AJHS Diving Programme - Year 7 and 8 Students

It is important that students check the daily notices regularly for upcoming sports events.
