On Wednesday 23 August two Year 7 and 8 bands travelled to the North Shore BandQuest competition at Auckland Girls Grammar. There were 14 bands participating, and we came away with some great results.

Earl Legasto and Maia Potter (pictured below) won Best Vocals of the night, with their band The Conspiracy (Maia Potter, Earl Legasto, Minh Do, Harry Atkinson, Ashton Tulp and Jackson Smith.)

AND...

The Naughty Corner were placed 3rd on the night, winning $100 worth of music gear from the Rockshop for our school. The band, made up of Leo Simmons, Ambra Mazza, Anita Saunders, Luca Barron, Finn Morgan-Cao, Oliver Qiu and Guy Safronov are pictured above, with Gareth Kendon our Rock Band teacher. (Oliver Qiu and Guy Safronov are not in the picture.)

Ka mau te wehi! Outstanding efforts to all those involved, and a massive thanks to Gareth Kendon, our amazing Itinerant Rock Band teacher!
