Mandarin Classes Wushu Workshop (Chinese Martial Arts) & Dragon Boat Festival

This term Year 7 and 8 Mandarin classes invited Camillia Zhu, Head Coach from Red Panda AOTEAROA Wushu Academy, to teach our students Chinese Martial Arts and self-defence strategies. She also introduced the history of Chinese Martial Arts, as one of Olympic Games competitive sports and showed our students some typical Chinese Martial Arts practising weapons, such as broad sword, straight sword, spear and cudgel. We also invited Sandra, the artist from Artmind Ltd. to teach our students Chinese calligraphy and brush painting to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival.
