Gingerbread Fun!
The Semester 1 Year 10 Food Technology classes recently completed their gingerbread unit.
The brief was to make a structure from gingerbread that has at least 4 sides and a roof. Students had to create a 3D drawing, a blueprint and make a 3D scale model out of paper and cardboard. They needed to use fondant to make decorations, to decorate a given cake board and to make a decoration or part of the structure from the marshmallow and Rice Krispie recipe. The structure had to be free standing, be made out of all edible materials, and show a use of coloured royal icing.
