Year 8 Changemaker Action Projects

As part of their Year 8 Change Maker Unit, three students from 8M10 (Zac Skelton, Ethan Rawson and Harri Coggins) recently spent time helping out at the Love Soup Charitable Trust in Albany.

The boys were focused on the ‘No Poverty’ goal and wanted to make a meaningful difference in their local community.

Activities they helped out with included moving food into the large chillers, and packing bulk items into smaller bags for distribution. They spent two hours helping out, and asked lots of relevant questions to strengthen their understanding of the issues that affect people in our community. At a personal level, they gained a huge amount of satisfaction from supporting the trust, and have all vowed to return at some stage in the future.

Well done boys – AJHS is really proud of your efforts.
