Summer Reading - Borrowing Books over the Holidays

Research shows that students who read four or more books over the summer are better prepared for the coming school year, and do not go down the ‘summer slide’ - the loss of reading and learning skills during the summer break.

To help with this, pupils returning to AJHS in 2024 may borrow up to 15 library books over the Summer holidays.

Just pick up a permission slip from the library, the student desk or download one here, return the signed permission slip to the library by Thursday November 23rd, and then select your books (or ask for a mystery pack). Your books will be ready for collection after Monday 27th November.
