ZESPRI AIMS Games 2022

It was fantastic to return to the NZ AIMS Games after a two year absence due to Covid. From the opening ceremony on Sunday evening through the whole week, it was incredible to see so many Year 7 and 8 students having the best time and playing sports.

We had an amazing team of 92 students and 25 adults attend, and we were involved in 13 different codes across the week. There were just over 11,000 students involved from all over New Zealand, so we are super proud of all of our students and the way they all performed.

We came away with NZ AIMS champions in badminton, with Jason Tong winning the overall singles title. This was followed by Jason and his badminton partner Justin Wang winning the overall doubles title.

We also have a NZ AIMS swimming champion in Lani Kim, who won gold in the 11-and-under 200m individual medley. Lani had an amazing week winning 4 other medals in the pool.

Eva Li picked up an awesome bronze for third place Stableford in the golf.
