ZESPRI NZ AIMS GAMES

Congratulations to all of our students that represented AJHS in the 2023 Zespri NZ AIMS Games Year 7 and 8 Sporting Tournament held in Tauranga during Week 8.

We had a team of 83 students entered across 14 codes - Badminton, Girls Basketball, Cross Country, Boys Football, Girls Football, Boys Hockey, Mountain Biking, Netball, Rock Climbing, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Water Polo and Yachting.

What an incredible week for all those involved. Lots of amazing results, friendships built and memories made that will last a lifetime.

An event of this nature is not possible without the support of our staff and parents. Thank you to those that attended and took on many roles which included coaching, managing, refereeing, cooking, driving and team photographer.

We had some incredible results during the week, so a special congratulations to the following students and teams on some exceptional performances:

Amy Wang - Zespri NZ AIMS Games - Badminton Girls Singles Champion

Lucy Zhou - Zespri NZ AIMS Games - Tennis Bronze Girls Singles

Boys Football - 9th place overall from a draw of 54 teams (recording only one loss throughout the entire week)

Water Polo - 8th place in the Open Draw
