New Board Members

As you are aware, we recently held Board midterm parent elections for 3 representatives. We are very pleased to announce we have one newly elected board member and one re-elected board member.

Welcome Francis Potter, our newly elected board member. Francis brings wealth of experience and character to our school, and has been working in the education sector for over 20 years. Currently Head of Faculty of Visual Art at Takapuna Grammar School, Francis’s profile can be found here.

John Rutherford has been re-elected as a Board Member. John has been in the education sector for 43 years and his children attended AJHS. He is also on the Board at Albany Senior High School. Please see his profile here.

We are now in the position of requiring one more parent representative.

The board has agreed to fill the vacancy by selection, however, the school community is entitled to request a by-election instead.

For this to occur the Board would need 10% of the school community to request a by-election. If you would like the school to conduct a by-election instead of Board selection, please lodge your request with maree.nolan@ajhs.school.nz by 24th November 2023.
