As we embark on the last few weeks of our term and welcome the spring weather, students are also starting to enjoy their interval and lunch times with more activity and time with friends.

Gala Day 2022 is fast approaching!

On Wednesday 31 August, two of our Year 7 and 8 bands, Nexus and 5-second rule, headed off to Auckland Girls Grammar to participate in the annual Bandquest rock band competition - the North Shore heats.

Last Saturday the Tournament of Minds took place at Mission Heights Junior College.

On Tuesday 23 August, five bands of past and present AJHS students had the privilege of performing at Murrays Bay Intermediate School’s annual Rock Band Showcase.

AJHS Science was proud to hold an in-school Science Fair in the Makomako Whanau recently, with the enthusiastic students of 8K12 displaying and presenting exhibits of their scientific investigations.

Recently our Head of Science, Martene Mathews has been spearheading our paper recycling efforts, and we’re very pleased to announce that The Warehouse has come on board to sponsor our 80 paper recycling bins.

This year hay fever has arrived early, so if needed, please ensure you have a supply of daily antihistamines to give prior to school, in order to minimise any symptoms.

Performing Arts was on show at Albany Senior High School last week with the welcome return of the Dance Showcase.
