Performing Arts was on show at Albany Senior High School last week with the welcome return of the Dance Showcase.
Last week, over two fantastic nights, the Albany Senior High School Performing Arts Department held its first dance showcase since 2019, “Take 3”.
Dance students from all three year levels performed their assessment works from throughout the year, and also performed, auditioned solo and duet dances they had choreographed themselves. From musical theatre, hip hop, and contemporary, to jazz, disco and Fosse, the performance evening was a vibrant and entertaining experience for the dancers and audience alike.
And, while this was a visual symphony for the audience, for the students it was a year's work culminating in being assessed for their performance credits.
