Mini Olympics at APS
Our Te Pā Mauri team ran a very successful Mini Olympics last Friday. Our whole school took part.
Our ākonga (learners) represented 20 different countries, ranging from Argentina to Zimbabwe, and competed in 7 fun-filled events.
Some special ‘Pierre de Coubertin’awards were given to competitors who demonstrated the Olympic Spirit.
The leadership of our Year 7/8 ākonga was evident and we loved the way that everyone in each country supported each other.
It was such a fantastic way to celebrate the buzz of the Olympics and our local Olympic medalists, Finn Butcher and Nicole Shields.
A big 'Thank you' to Bonni and the Te Pā Mauri team for organising this awesome event : )
