Kapa Haka shines at Central Lakes Polyfest
We were very proud of our Senior Kapa Haka when they performed last Wednesday at the Central Lakes Polyfest in Queenstown.
Whaea Zain-Star has been guiding our Senior Kapa Haka this year and we love the way she has encouraged and supported the group to execute their waiata and haka in a powerful and authentic way.
Thank you Whaea Zain-Star for all of the hard mahi that you do to ensure our tamariki have the opportunity to learn more about the art of kapa haka. Thank you also to Zain-Star's mum Rina, for supporting the kapa haka on the day on her guitar.
The Central Lakes Polyfest provides a wonderful platform for our local and regional schools to share their work in kapa haka, and learn from and support each other.
We will have the opportunity of seeing our Senior Kapa Haka perform again at our Middle/Senior Prize Giving on Wednesday the 11th of December.
