I was invited to watch Maungatere children play ripper rugby on Saturday.

It was so much fun, the sun was shining, mood and energy levels were high. I loved every minute of it and loved cheering these wee guys on as they played. I felt so proud of them all. 

Looking around at the parents all together looking after each other's children, making morning tea, and George the coach leading this little team. Julia keeping score, organising subs and parents finding rippers and sticking them back on, showing them which way to run, I felt overwhelmed with thankfulness. For this community that gives so much and takes care of one and another. I felt very grateful to be part of this community and school family. Thank you for the invite, Adam. 

Eddie was the player of the day - he got 4 tries!!!
