FITNESS in Room 8
In Te Ruma Waru we like to keep ourselves fit.
We enjoy going to AMI sport every second Tuesday and each day we like to go for a run and do some stretching.
We have set a 'planking' challenge with Room 7 and we also challenge our parents to see if we can beat them also.
We also have discussions about healthy food and what is appropriate school lunch food. Chocolate Bars, Lollies and chips are treats. Fruit, sandwiches and muesli bars are more appropriate and a healthier option.
Drinking lots of water during the day is great...Juice is not!
We also discuss how taking your drink bottle home and giving it a rinse every night is important as drink bottles like to grow bacteria. (take the lid off and sniff it!!)
We also enjoy doing JUMP JAM 3 mornings a week with the senior syndicate.
