Successful weekend for Amberley School
The Amberley A&P Show is a huge event on our yearly calendar. This year the show coincided with the regional Jump Jam finals and Amberley students rose to the challenge.
Congratulations to everyone involved in the Amberley Show. Despite challenging weather conditions, our annual community event was a success and many of our children were recognised with awards for their entries.
Amberley School has become renowned in New Zealand for producing incredible Jump Jam teams over the years. 2016 was no exception with two wins at the Regional finals over the weekend. This represents a huge team effort from the coaches, students and parent supporters. Our ongoing success is a result of the huge commitment that comes from each and every person involved. It must be noted that the Amberley supporters were the most vocal at the finals!
Next Tuesday at 6pm we invite our community to come along to Arahura to assist with the development of our next 5 year Strategic Plan. Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the online questionnaire. We will use this information to form the basis of our plan and analyse the responses at the community meeting. You have some brilliant ideas and have provided us with some great feedback about what you want for our school. At this meeting we will also unveil a new draft logo for our school.
All those that put their name/email in the last question went into a draw. The winners of the vouchers are:
$100 Copper Road voucher winner - Patricia Webb
$20 Little Vintage Espresso voucher winners - Karen Croft, Katie Muir, Heather Pearson.
These can be collected from the school office.
All the best to our Moana and Kowai students competing in the school athletics tomorrow. Some students will then go through to represent Amberley School at the Kowai Zone sports on Monday 7th November.
Next week is Canterbury Anniversary Week. Amberley School will be closed on Thursday 10th November for a teacher only day.
Have a great week everyone!
