Te Ngahere were able to try out some real WWI artifacts during our ANZAC Studies.
Mr Clemens brought in his grandfather's World War One uniform and some of the items he used during his service in World War One.
Mr Clemens shared parts of Charles Henry Clemens' uniform and kit that he brought back from the First World War. Flynn was able to wear his "lemon squeezer" hat and his pants. They were very itchy as the uniform was made of wool.
Other items included a shaving kit, a belt full of buttons and badges, a flag and his kit bag with his serial number printed on the bag.
These are very old and Mr Clemens believes that not everything should be stored in a museum, behind glass.
