You are very passionate about a range of different environments, especially our coastal and sea. You have researched well and are starting to put together a very thought provoking and emotive speech. Kyana, you are such a joy in our classroom. You have seamlessly settled into our space and adjusted to our routines. You have a kind and caring nature and the best sense of humour. Already, you will put your hand up to help me with anything around the class and are always asking if there is anything to be done. Kyana, you are a superstar! We are so happy to have you in our class!

Charlie L: This certificate is for the consistent effort you put into your learning, whether it be core curricular or our inquiry studies. One of the things we have in common is that we both have high expectations of you and your learning. So, it is now time to boost your efforts regarding your PRIDE values and your overall behaviour. Let’s get it done!

Connor C: This certificate is for always being super keen to take on difficult learning experiences, accept challenges and action feedback. Learning that it is ok to make mistakes and get things wrong from time to time has allowed you to grow and make effective progress. William, I have really appreciated your smiley face and friendly attitude to start the term. You have been quick to settle and are beginning to produce high quality work. Ben - what amazing PRIDE you showed at the debate this week, Ben! You were so excited to be a part of this and you presented your debate clearly and with great expression. You did not allow the other team to distract you and you kept your focus right to the end. Ka mau te wehi!

Lachlan

What a fantastic first week back Lachlan. You have really shown me what you are capable of inside and outside the classroom. I have been really impressed with your efforts during cross country and you are showing the way in this area. You are a polite and respectful classmate and have made me feel really welcome in Kekeno.

Mady

Mady you have produced some awesome work in our first week back. I particularly enjoyed your holiday recount. You have lovely presentation skills and take pride in your work which is great to see. I think you have a great sense of humour and I look forward to seeing more of the same effort for the rest of the term.

Kaelum

Kaelum I really like how when it is time to work, you put your head down and get stuck into it. You are focused during lessons and are always looking to give 100%. You’re not afraid to ask questions and this is a great quality and skill to have. You have been very welcoming towards me in my first week and I thank you for making me feel at ease in my new classroom. Positive signs for the rest of the term.

Sylvia - Thank you for showing independence, integrity and respect for your kaiako this week, Sylvia. You are able to focus and follow instructions without any fuss, and you get your learning task done quickly and neatly, as well as above expectation. Isaac - You have been challenged several times this week in your learning Isaac, and it has been great to see you persevering at your learning tasks without giving up. Just like all learning, it takes practice to become better at perseverance, and this week you have had lots of practice at focusing and putting effort into your learning tasks. Maisie - You have shown determination and enthusiasm for your maths learning this week, Maisie, by trying really hard to grasp the new concept you have been shown. You have focused on practising the strategy and getting all your equations completed correctly. Awesome mahi! Tino pai!
