Te Papa Dinosaurs Trip - Notice 2
This article contains further information regarding the school trips happening 20th and 22nd February.
Firstly, thank you for the parents who have already put their hands up to help on our trips. We need to ensure we have low ratios for our ākonga (learners) and at this stage, we do not have enough adult help. We still require additional parent helpers in order for these trips to go ahead. Please consider helping. Thank you in advance.
- If you are able to help with the Koru trip (years 1-3) on 20th February please email Amaria (amaria@amesbury.school.nz).
- If you can help with the Pōhutukawa trip (years 4-6) on 22nd February please email Jemima (jemima@amesbury.school.nz).
Secondly, to help with the cost of the trip, parents are welcome to pay a contribution of $19. Contributions for our trip costs can be made online by logging into your Kindo account and, from the home screen, selecting 'Te Papa Trip 2024'.
Details on the day:
Both Koru and Pōhutukawa hubs will be leaving just after 9am. Please make sure your child is at school by 8.45am on their trip day. We will aim to be back at school at 2.45pm.
All students will need to wear their school uniform and sensible walking shoes. Please consider packing fleeces or raincoats, weather depending. Ākonga will need a well-stocked lunch box, as trip days tend to make tamariki very hungry, and they will also need a full water bottle.
Pōhutukawa:
Please do not order lunch (including pizza) for your child for the day they are on trip as we will not be at school at lunchtime.
Pizza orders for these dates can be cancelled now via Kindo > My Orders > Transactions (find the date) > Cancel. Any orders not cancelled, will still be filled as we are unable to transfer to the following week.
For more information, please see the first article.
Any questions, please contact Angela (angela.herman-childs@amesbury.school.nz), or your child's whānau teacher.
