The sun shone, we showed great sportsmanship, and a brilliant day of hockey was had by all!

Well done to the ākonga (students) who ably represented Amesbury school at the Northern Zone Hockey Tournament on Thursday 27th June. We had so many keen players we were able to send two teams to the friendly tournament. 

Luckily Amesbury Tahi and Rua teams competed against each other in the first round so we had a relaxed start to the day.  

Both teams had a mixed bag of results over the six or seven games they played. All players played well, demonstrating integrity and showing our Amesbury values. 

Thank you to all the parents who supported us with transport and wrangling on the day - these events wouldn't happen without your help.
