Feedback around connection, communication and getting involved
Tēnā koutou e hoa ma,
We are now in the midst of planning for next year, and we are looking to get some feedback from parents and whānau to help us ensure we are meeting the needs of our school community. We were planning on running a meeting with any parents interested in getting involved with the school next year, to see how we could best organise this. However, our current Level 2 settings don't allow for this, unfortunately. We will look to meet very early next year with any parents and caregivers who are keen to be involved - we appreciate that filling in forms does not work for everyone in terms of having your voice heard. In the meantime, it would be good to get some feedback on how we can look to connect, communicate, and get parents involved with school.
This feedback form is focusing on different ways to communicate and connect with our school community next year. It may seem a bit long form, but it will (hopefully) be quite quick to fill in - it has three main sections. We have kept most answers optional, so any questions that are not relevant for you can simply be left empty. It is optional to add your name to the form, so that if you simply want to provide some quick feedback, you can choose to do this anonymously. However, if you are interested in being involved in any way, please fill in your name so that we can get in touch with you.
Action: Please fill the feedback form in by the end of the school year (Dec 14th). Thanks so much.
We will use the feedback from this form to help us plan our Meet the Teacher session early next year, and also to plan various events and gatherings throughout the year. We are keen to set up a group of parents who would like to get involved with the school in a range of ways, and your feedback from this form will also help with this, too, along with helping us to communicate as effectively as possible.
Please be aware that people tend to have very different ideas on how they want to connect and be communicated with, which means we won’t be able to please everyone. However, the more information we have about what our community is looking for, the more we can tailor our practices to meet people’s needs.
Thank you so much for helping with this. Please also feel free to get in touch with me directly if you want to give further feedback or talk further about any of this.
Thanks again for your ongoing help and support with this.
