Share & Celebrate - Term 1 - Week 8

Jenny King —

Share & Celebrate is an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of our ākonga/students.

Recognizing the hard work, leadership, and kindness of our ākonga/students is one of the highlights of our week! Share & Celebrate is our time to acknowledge the mahi/work our students put in to a range of different activities, tasks, social interactions and leadership responsibilities across the kura/school.

If your child has had a success out of school that you'd like us to mention in our Share & Celebrate, please email the details directly to their whānau teacher.

Congratulations to all of the ākonga mentioned below and a huge thank you to Brydon and Angela's buddy whānau group for hosting this Share & Celebrate!

Talia: Tino pai Talia for being recognised by the Marist Johnsonville Karate Club as the most improved Junior Student for technical ability!

Zara, Alana, Ana & Yamuna: Thank you so much for your dedication and hard work sorting out Sarah’s whānau chromebook station. You went to extra lengths to ensure all the cords were incredibly organised and tidy in the back of the station. Zara is not even in the whānau group, but as always, she shows initiative and a willingness to help out whenever something needs to be done.

Annabel: Thank you Annabel for being so keen to help with anything! You are always up for helping with any classroom job.

Luca: We have been very impressed with your writing lately. You are trying hard to improve your writing and it shows.

Alana & Kishore: Alana and Kishore, thank you so much for your contribution in inquiry group. Your interest and knowledge of Newton’s three laws of motion is clear. We appreciate how you have helped others with your knowledge.

Aarin: Aarin competed in the Weetbix Tryathlon at Kilbirnie Park and did it under 25 mins. Congrats!

Zara, Ira, Manahel, Phoenix & Yolanda: Thank you for helping with watering the vegetable garden and planting seedlings. You did this both when Rupert was there and independently.

Both Rachel and Kirat also noticed how welcoming you were too!

Alicia: You tidy up the entire sandbox every lunchtime without anyone asking. Thank you so much.

Viraj and Abhinav: Well done Viraj and Abhinav for your wonderful work you are doing during reading time. You are sounding out the CVC words by blending them together. This is amazing to see. Keep it up.

Bilge: We have been so impressed by Bilge this week. He is consistently leading by example and showing others what to do. He is working hard on his tasks and is really focused on learning. Ka rawe, Bilge!

Nellie: We noticed you assisting a new friend with his handwriting by guiding him on where to place his letters. Ka pai for your helpfulness!

Eriola, Arkaine, Leo, Bryan & Riaan: Ka Pai for working really hard during maths. You all showed a 'can-do' attitude by using your strategies to challenge yourselves and practicing your maths facts.

Hana, Camden, Myra, Reid, & Tania.
