Amesbury Awesomeness Awards, Term 2 2026
We celebrated our students/ngā ākonga that received their Amesbury Awesomeness Awards for consistently showing our Amesbury School High Five Values in a range of ways this afternoon. A great way to end the term. Ka pai kia koutou. Well done to you all!
Congratulations to our Term 2 2026 Amesbury Awesomeness recipients
Bryan, Rufus, Queenieva and Kairi
Bryan:
You should be so proud of yourself for everything you have achieved this term! We have loved watching you show such true courage by stepping up and giving things a go, whether in taking charge of your own learning or when taking on new challenges like the Speech Competition.
We appreciate how you lead with such independence and a wonderful 'can-do' attitude; we can always count on you to include a friend in play, resolve a conflict with maturity, or take the initiative to walk every single day throughout the whole Moving March. You are a reliable, resilient, and determined ākonga. Ka pai on your amazing effort!
Rufus:
We see the care and help you give to other tamariki. You notice when your peers are struggling and you aid them without being asked to. You read to others when they cannot. You do this week in week out.
We see the pride you take in your work. You often put in extra effort in your own time because you want to produce your best. You are insightful in your reading workshops, imaginative with your writing, and logical and analytical in your maths.
We see you giving consistent support and showing perseverance in hard tasks.
We see you reframe learning and make really strong thoughtful contributions in class.
We see you quietly going about the hub keeping it tidy, before, during and after lessons.
We see you being dedicated to your community, from planting trees last year to standing in front of the school to promote a bake sale, then running it with your mum, for a charitable cause.
You thoroughly deserve this award. Congratulations Rufus !!
We would like to extend a mighty congratulations to Queenieva, our Term 2 recipient of the Amesbury Awesomeness Award.
Queenieva:
Queenieva is a wonderful example of what it means to be truly awesome. She is incredibly creative, humble, and caring, and always gives her very best in everything she does. Her love of learning shines through her participation in Children's University, where she eagerly seeks new opportunities to grow. Whether she is on the sports field, in the classroom, or supporting others, Queenieva approaches every challenge with determination, kindness, and an openness to feedback. Her positive attitude, dedication, and genuine care for others make her a very deserving recipient of the Amesbury Awesomeness Award.
Kairi:
Congratulations, Kairi, on receiving the Amesbury Awesomeness Award. You are truly deserving of it. You embody the qualities of the award. You are an amazing Kaitiaki in the hub, always doing the right thing, working and helping others and being a role model. You have a strong group of friends, to whom you always show kindness and care, which has built whānaungatanga in our hub. You are a cherished member of our hub, as we delight in your sense of playfulness, like when you really wanted to learn how to fly. We have also seen you grow in your confidence and sense of self in Koru this year. Ka rawe, Kairi, we are so proud of you!
