Below is some important information about Whole School Swimming next term
Swimming lessons will be taking place in Term 2 for the whole school. Swimming will start in Week 2. Please see the below information relevant to your child.
Everyone needs to go to the Easy Swim website and go to “Click here to open school survey” to provide Easy Swim with details about your child and to help with grouping your child for their lessons.
Te Rito and Koru students information:
Te Rito and Koru students will be swimming on Thursday mornings, leaving school by 9:05am and back at school by 1pm. Groups will go in a rolling basis between these times.
Lessons will be at Johnsonville School Pool.
First day of swimming will be Thursday 9th May, (Week 2).
Harakeke students information:
Harakeke students will be swimming on Monday afternoons, and will be back at school by 3pm.
Lessons will be at Keith Spry Pool.
First day of swimming will be Monday 6 May, (Week 2).
Other details:
Swimming lessons run for eight lessons in term 2.
There will be no swimming in Week 6, due to Queen’s Birthday
Students need to bring togs, a towel and a swim cap in a named swimming bag. Goggles are also very useful, but not compulsory. Please name all items.
Students and staff will travel to the pool by coach.
All lessons will be run by EasySwim instructors.
The cost of swimming is $62 per student, (this covers the cost of qualified swim instructors, pool hire and bus transport). Invoices will soon be uploaded to the "student invoices section" of the online shop. Payment should be made by Sunday 28th April to ensure your child(ren)’s participation.
Swimming Sports Dates:
Year 4-6 - Thursday 25th July Week 1 Term 3 at Tawa Pool
Year 1-3 - Thursday 1st August Week 2 Term 3 at Keith Spry Pool
