Science Road Show 2026 - Monday 20 April

Amesbury School students will be travelling by bus to the Science Roadshow 2026 held at Rāroa Intermediate on Monday 20 April (the first day of Term 2)

Our ākonga/students will see the show in 3 groups. We will need some adult helpers to come along to help supervise. If you are available please fill in the FORM and a hub teacher will be in touch with you to confirm details.

Session 1 = Year 5 & 6 9:20 - 10:30

Session 2 = Year 3 & 4 10:40 - 11:50

Session 3 = Year 0, 1 & 2 12:25 - 13:35

The show looks great and is always an exciting science filled session!

The cost of the show is $15:00, which includes bus costs to and from Rāroa Intermediate. This has been invoiced to your kindo account.

Science Road Show 2026

The 2026 programme is a 70 minute session which includes

Two new live shows:

  • Am I living? — Kei te Ora Ahau: Explores the characteristics of living things.

  • Kitchen Chemistry — Te pūtaiao ā-kihini: Fascinating science from the pantry!

In between these two shows students have time to explore the hands-on exhibits grouped around the themes of:

  • AstronomyTe mātai arorangi

  • Fair Tests — Ngā whakamātau tika

  • Human Performance — Mahi tangata

  • Movement — Te nekeneke

  • Sight and Illusion — Te kitenga me ngā kitenga mariko

  • Using Numbers Te whakamahi tau
