Year 0-2 End of Year Activities
In Week 7 of Term 4 this year, our Year 0, 1, and 2 ākonga (students) will have the opportunity to attend some activities during the week. Read on to find out more.
Key details:
Monday 25th November – Island Bay Marine Centre & Te Papa
Wednesday 27th November – Ākau Tangi Sports Centre in Kilbirnie
Friday 29th November – Surprise at school
Island Bay Marine Centre & Te Papa
The group will be split into two, with one group starting at Te Papa and the other group at the Marine Centre. They will swap around lunchtime so that all ākonga get to experience both places. We are looking for a small group of parent volunteers to help us on the day. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Amaria at amaria@amesbury.school.nz.
We are leaving promptly in the morning, so please ensure your child is at school at 8:30 am for the roll check and loading the bus. The bus will leave at 9:00 am. The ākonga will eat morning tea and lunch at either Te Papa or the Marine Centre. We expect to be back at school by 3:00 pm. Please ensure your child has comfortable shoes, a hat, a raincoat, water, and plenty of food!
Ākau Tangi Sports Centre in Kilbirnie
The group will be split into five groups and will rotate around five activities: Gymnastics, Futsal, Floorball, Netball, and Inflatables. All activities are run by instructors, with a teacher there to support them. We do not need parent support on this day, but you are welcome to pop over to Ākau Tangi Sports Centre in Kilbirnie.
