Progress on our new hub building

Urs Cunningham —

As the last of the scaffolding comes down on our new hub, we can clearly see the progress that is being made and want to provide you with an update on the scheduled construction works.

The external windows and doors have been installed, and the exterior painting is currently being finished. The internal works will focus on installing doors, gibbing, plastering and finishing the first floor.

To keep things moving, and make up as much lost time as possible, work will now begin on the external ground works outside the new building, whilst concurrently completing internal building work.

We are still working towards having Pōhutukawa Hub moving out of the hall and into our new building in Term 3. We have a second smaller team walk around in the new hub coming up in April, and a wider staff walk around scheduled for May.

For those of you who would like a reminder of what our beautiful building will look like when it is finished, here is the architect's walk through of the hub building.

We will keep you updated with further news and pictures from the building as progress continues.

Ngā mihi,
