Futsal Festival 2023

Eilis Cassidy —

With memories of the FIFA Women’s World Cup still fresh in our memories, our ākonga will get a chance to showcase their skills on Rāapa (Wednesday) at Ākau Tangi Sports Centre, Kilbirnie.

Twenty four ākonga from our kura will represent Amesbury at the upcoming Futsal Festival in conjunction with Primary Sport Wellington (PSW) and Capital Football.

The participating ākonga are as follows:

Year 3/4 Jack, Aryan, Zachary, Kyle, Kailey, Ada, Basti, LJ, Eliano & George.

Year 5/6 Josh, Jayden, Zoe, Monty, Nia, Lexie, Dion, Jade, Tara, Greta, Marcus, Jacob, Max, Yiqi

We wish them a safe and enjoyable day out at this non-competitive festival. A reminder that the tamariki who are travelling should have a lunch box, water bottle, suitable indoor shoes and wear their black sports top.

Ākonga should report straight to Rupert in the library on the morning of Wednesday 13th September from 8:50 am. The bus will leave the school premises at 9:10am and return at around 3:10pm.
