Mid year reports go live on ALF today.
Our reports for the first half of the school year can now be viewed on our student learning sytem, ALF (Amesbury Learning Framework).
All children who have been attending Amesbury School for more than four weeks have a report for 2019 on ALF. For most students, their report will be a mid year report. A small number of students who have only been at school for four - six weeks may have interim reports.
If your child has only been at Amesbury School for several weeks (started this term or at the end of last term) they will not have a report, as we are still getting to know your child. We will have student conferences at the end of this term where you can find out more about the learning and learning behaviours of your child. Your child's whānau teacher will also meet with you several weeks after they start to talk about how your child is settling in, and to find out more about them from you.
For the reports, here is the link to ALF. The link to ALF is also available on our Tizmos page. Your child/ren can sign in to ALF using their school gmail account; they will know their login and password details.
You can also access the report through your child's password. However, it would be better to access ALF through your own Gmail account. This means you can access it at any time. Here is a link to a page on the school website which tells you how to do this. If you do not have a Gmail account you will need to set one up.
The most recent report for each student will be at the top of the list of reports. Our ALF reports are also downloadable: in the 'Report' section of ALF you will see all of your child's reports listed. On the right hand side there is a download button (downward facing arrow) - if you click on this, a PDF version of your child's report will be downloaded to your device.
There are several information boxes which will help you to get the most out of your report. Please do take the time to read these carefully. Your child will have read their report today with one if their teachers; it would be good to read the report with your child and talk about it.
If you have any difficulties accessing your child's report, please do not hesitate to contact your child's whanau teacher as soon as possible.
As part of our reporting process, we will be holding student conferences in the last week of this term. An article will be sent out in a few weeks to explain how to book a student conference.
Warm regards,
The Amesbury team
