Amesbury's Got Talent Final

John Murrihy —

We held the finals of Amesbury's Got Talent in front of an excited and appreciative audience last week.

What a vast variety of performances were on display. Having watched and enjoyed the performances, my sympathies went out to guest judges Phil & Lucy in their task of trying to adjudicate final place-getters. In the end they did make a decision and, judging by the audience reaction, it was in line with the thoughts of those watching.

In 4th place was Oliver H demonstrating his ability on the keyboard. 3rd, with an entertaining drama, was Emily, Audrey & Lana. Meera was adjudged as the runner up with her wonderfully flexible dance routine which involved many moves with a hula hoop. And the winners of the 2022 Amesbury's Got Talent were Nidhi, Aanya, Veda, & Reya with their colourful, well choreographed, performed in unison Kathak dance.

We also applaud the other finalists who contributed greatly to the finals spectacle. Special mention must be made of Caitlin who, due to a technical malfunction, performed half of her routine with no music. She handled this like a real professional. Extremely well done, Caitlin.

A big thanks, too, to Natalie for all of the work that she put into organising this year's event.

My apologies for the lack of photos of the finals, as I didn't coordinate this task properly.
