Celebrating our students/ngā ākonga that have received their Amesbury Awesomeness Awards for consistently showing our Amesbury School High Five Values in a range of ways is always a fantastic way to end the term. Ka pai kia koutou. Well done to you all!
Congratulations to Keone, Ira, Camden, and Ella R for being the recipients of Amesbury Awesomeness Awards for Term 1 2026.
Keone:
Keone is a student who truly embodies our school values. He is recognized for his strong sense of fairness, his helpful nature toward his peers, and the incredible persistence he shows in his independent work. Whether he is working diligently on his writing or supporting his buddies during Tuakana Teina time, Keone brings a positive and respectful vibe to our hub.
Congratulations, Keone, on this well-deserved award! We are so proud of the progress you’ve made and the kind, thoughtful leader you are becoming.
Ira:
We have been watching and noticing for a long time how you interact with others and set yourself up for success in your learning. This term, you have stepped out of the shadows of others and blossomed.
You are one of the first to offer help, and teachers ask you to do things because you are reliable, can use your initiative, and always look for ways to make our learning place a better place.
You are on an upward curve for your learning. That’s because of your hard work, your confidence, and your intrinsic motivation.
You support new students when they arrive, not just with their learning, but also by making sure they have people to play with at break times.
You thoroughly deserve this award.
Congratulations Ira !!
Camden:
Camden, you are truly deserving of the Amesbury Awesomeness Award, and you are one of our youngest students ever to be chosen in this category - which says how worthy you are of it. You model what it means to be a positive member of Amesbury school. Each day you find ways to fill the buckets of those around you. We are grateful for your kindness, empathy and hard work. Keep reaching for the stars and bringing all those around you with you. It is our pleasure to present this award to you.
Ella R:
Ella, you should be so proud of yourself for everything you have achieved this term! We have loved watching you show such true courage by stepping up and giving things a go, whether in your learning or when taking on new challenges.
We appreciate how you lead with such kindness and responsibility; we can always count on you to help a friend, resolve a conflict, or take the initiative to care for our environment. You are a reliable, persistent, and deeply empathetic ākonga. Ka pai on your amazing effort!
