Demelza Topp —

In this article, you will find information about the Year 6 'Day at Raroa', the parent evening, and the parent open days.

Kia ora koutou,

'A Day at Rāroa for Students'

The Year 6 'Day at Rāroa' was originally happening in the last week of this term. However, due to the current situation, this has been moved to Week 2 Term 3 (Thursday 30 July). The purpose of this day is to give all Year 6 students the opportunity to experience what Rāroa has to offer.

To get all students to and from Rāroa, we do require support with transport. If you are keen and able to help out, please note this day in your calendar. We will send out further information about the day to Year 6 parents toward the end of this term.

'Parent Evenings'

In order to make the group sizes smaller on the night, Rāroa will be holding three separate parent evenings. If you are not able to make the Amesbury evening, you are welcome to pop along to another evening. These information sessions will run from 6:00pm-7:00pm.

  • Monday 10 August - Khandallah & Churton Park
  • Tuesday 11 August - Ngaio, Amesbury & Johnsonville
  • Wednesday 12 August - Cashmere Ave, Crofton Downs & West Park

'Parent Open Days'

The parent open days will happen on Thursday 13 August and Friday 14 August. These days are where parents can go into Rāroa during normal school hours to have a tour of the school while current students are working in class.

*If you would like to look around the school with your child, please feel free to join us for the Year 6 'Day at Rāroa' on 30 July. You can stay for all or part of this day. It is up to you.

If you require further information regarding the parent evening or open days, please either visit the Rāroa website (raroa.school.nz) or phone the Rāroa office directly.

A flier with the necessary information has been attached below.
