Day Trip to the National Arts Festival

Amaria Picard —

Capital E are hosting schools at the National Arts Festival. Wellington schools are fortunate enough to get a bargain price to attend two or three shows in one day!

Harakeke Hub will have their trip on Monday 11 March. The Year 3-5 students will be seeing three shows: Te Kuia, Young and Cinematic and Wolfgang’s Musical Circus. The Year 6 students will also be seeing three shows: Barber of Seville, Trolle and Wolfgang’s Musical Circus. They will leave school at approx 9:15am and will be back by 3:00pm. The cost for the trip is $22 which will be placed on your child's school account.  All payments must be made via the school’s online shop.

Te Rito and Koru Hub will be having their trip on Tuesday 19 March. Te Rito will be seeing two shows: Black Dog and Wolfgang’s Musical Circus. Koru will be seeing two shows: GABEZ and Wolfgang’s Musical Circus. They will leave school at approx 9:15am and will be back by 1:30pm. The cost for the trip is $17.00 per child which will be placed on your child's school account.  All payments must be made via the school’s online shop.

All children will need to wear their school uniform, including their school fleeces and sunhat, and have a well stocked lunchbox with a named water bottle. No lunch orders please.

We have a limited number of free adult places for this trip and we would love to have whanau joining us as additional support for this fabulous trip. There will be spaces on buses for adults to travel with us to the shows; you are also most welcome to take your own car (which will be quieter!) and meet us there. We do ask that adults coming as additional support do not have younger children with them, so that full attention can be given to the children in their group. If you are keen to join us on this trip, please contact Gemma as a Te Rito parent (gemma@amesbury.school.nz), Amaria as a Koru parent (amaria@amesbury.school.nz) or Lisa as a Harakeke parent (lisa@amesbury.school.nz).
