The date has finally arrived! Amesbury’s Official New Building Opening and Cultural Festival is next week.
Friday the 10th of November 4-6 pm - Bring some cash and feel free to wear your traditional clothes!
After much anticipation and many hours of preparation from our dedicated students and their whānau, the Cultural Festival is finally here.
What to expect:
Official Opening of the New Building: Come and witness the Wellington Mayor cutting the ribbon to officially open the new building at 4:30 pm.
Book Fair: Come, browse, and buy some goodies from 3:30 p.m. The book fair will be set up in the Library.
Sausage sizzle: Purchase a sausage from 4:00 p.m. for $2.
Bake Sale: Purchase your favourite treat from 4:00 pm for a koha (gold coin.)
Hangi: We expect this food to be ready at 5 p.m.
Cultural Stalls: Learn about different countries in the stalls organised by parents and students - from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Performances: Due to overwhelming interest from students, the performances will be running from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will be a stage on the blue matting by Koru and on the Central Courtyard.
Bouncy Castle: Let the kids have fun for FREE between 4:00 and 5:30 p.m.
Ice Cream Truck: Treat the kids with a FREE ice cream between 4:00 and 5:30 p.m.
