Koru Swimming 2022

Eilis Cassidy —

Swimming lessons for our Koru tamariki will take place on Thursdays in Term 2 at the Johnsonville School Pool.

Lessons will run over 8 consecutive weeks beginning on Thursday the 12th of May (Week 2) and ending on Thursday the 30th of June (Week 9).

Students and staff will travel to the pool by bus. The cost for the swimming lessons is estimated to be around $65 per student. The cost covers the qualified swim instructors, pool hire and bus transport across the eight weeks. We will verify this amount once we have fixed numbers. The fees will be added to your school account and can be paid via Kindo.

As swimming is part of our PE curriculum, we encourage all students to sign up to the lessons. Every Koru student must complete this form whether they intend to swim or not. The form must be completed by Thursday 7th of April.

Students need to bring togs, a towel and a swim cap, all in a named swimming bag. Goggles are also very useful, but not compulsory.
