Share & Celebrate is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the achievements of our ākonga/students.

We love coming together to acknowledge the fantastic effort, leadership, and care showing up across our kura. Whether it is hard work in the learning spaces or looking out for others across the kura, our Share & Celebrate is a special time to recognize these achievements.

We know the great work doesn't stop at the school gate. If your child has accomplished something exciting outside of school please let their whānau teacher know by email so we can celebrate them too.

A big shout-out as well to Sarah & Sophia's buddy whānau group for looking after us and hosting this week.

Mathswell team: Alana, Andy, Ben, Charlie, Kishore, Zachary: HUGE ka pai, well done to our Mathswell team: You came second out of 49 teams in this year’s maths competition. Your team marker said that they were so impressed with your teamwork. Ka rawe, awesome work!

Ethan L: Ethan, you were a fabulous friend during swimming sports last week. You chose to swim alongside someone who was finding it hard to get to the finish, and you swam back to help them along. What a supportive friend.

Luca: You were an amazing leader and friend to one of your teina buddies from Te Rito. You noticed him riding his bike without a helmet and you gently stopped him and helped to get his helmet on so that he was safe. Ka rawe, fabulous leadership.

Kyle, Nilan, Nellie, and Emmett: Well done on placing 2nd in the Chess Power tournament and qualifying for Nationals.

Kyle placed second overall in the Wellington Central tournament, and 3rd in the Kāpiti tournament He has qualified for the Nationals Champions Trophy. Ka pai, well done.

Saanvi: Thank you for taking the effort to help make our new akonga feeling welcomed.

Eliza and Saanvi: Well done, thank you for your efforts, it has been great to see you showing resilience during PE.

Leo: We have noticed the effort you have put into your handwriting this term! Your handwriting in your books across learning areas looks so tidy. Ka pai tō mahi!

Benny, Ella, and Tavi: We have had a new student join our whānau group and you all have done an amazing job at helping them feel welcome and included at school. We appreciate how you have shown them what to do, where to go and made sure they had someone to play with during lunch times. Ngā mihi nui koutou.

Manashyu: It has been awesome to see you develop your independence in our literacy time and take the initiative to complete your must do tasks. Keep up the great mahi (work)!c

Max and Millee: It was awesome to see you get up in front of the whole school and speak with such confidence, especially with so little time to prepare. It takes courage and bravery to stand up and speak in front of everyone, and you should be really proud of yourself. Keep up the awesome mahi.

Abhinav: Last week one of the ākonga in Te Rito was struggling to let their mum go. You noticed this and very quickly went to them and suggested what they could try. When you noticed it wasn’t working, you stayed close and showed real empathy for that child. The mum was very impressed and thought it was very sweet.

Annie: Annie is a National Level 6 this year, gaining sufficient points to qualify for the NZ Gymnastics Championships at the end of September. Awesome! And we look forward to receiving an update.

Justin L: Justin is at Level 3 in men's artistic gymnastics, and in the last holidays also received three bronze medals in Christchurch - on floor, parallel bars, and pommel horse. Well done Justin.
