Northern Zone Football 2023

Eilis Cassidy —

Alex Moore Park will host the NZ Socials Football Day on Tuesday 28th March for Amesbury's football enthusiasts.

Amesbury are seeking to fill two Year 5&6 teams of 11 ākonga (students) in each to be involved in this fun and social event for the primary schools in our area. Teams consist of 8 players on the field with a maximum of 3 substitutes per team. Rolling subs are allowed. The teams will be mixed gender and selected to be as even as possible.

Play will commence at 10am and finish around 2pm with games consisting of 2 ten minute halves with a 3 minute half time break. All students are to have a packed lunch and a full water bottle. We advise students to bring an extra water bottle if possible, as the closest access to water is down next to the changing rooms by the artificial turf. We ask all Amesbury ākonga to wear their sports shirt on this day. Players may wear sports shoes without studs or moulds but bare feet is not permitted. All players must wear shin pads.

Students will travel together on 28th March from school and will return before the end of day. We wish for any parents who are available to transport the tamariki to let their availability be known in the consent form - this helps to eliminate the cost of transportation for the participants.

Please click here to access the consent form.

Please note that the deadline for registration is Wednesday 8th of March at 4pm. Please take the time to go through the rules with your child ahead of time.
