Amesbury Book Fair, Wheels & Cultural Festival

John Murrihy —

What a beautiful evening last Friday for Amesbury whānau to gather together for the Wheels & Cultural Festival having also had the opportunity of attending the Book Fair.

The Book Fair has been set up in the school's reception area organised by Regina. For several days it was supervised by parents who generously gave of their time and knowledge to help those looking for a special book for themselves or others.

After school on Friday it was all on.

There were people on bikes - some very artfully decorated.

And I'm told that this person did the most laps and is celebrating with the traditional orange juice.

Then it was onto the most entertaining part of the evening.

There were huge lines for the face painting provided by Zoe and henna hand designs created by Sonali.

There was a sculpture display from the term's elective.

And also a photo of 'Blue Steel' (on the left) from the movie 'Zoolander'.

And my favourite photo of the day of someone who certainly is not camera shy.
