Cultural Evening & Book Fair - Friday 15 November 2024

Kirat Singh —

We are still in need of more ethnic food contributions!

Kia ora, whanau!
We are thrilled to announce that planning is underway for our much-anticipated Cultural Evening! It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our school community's rich diversity, talent, and culture—and we’d love for you to be part of it!

We are still in need of more ethnic food contributions! We currently have hāngi, chickpea curry with rice, dumplings, and Vietnamese cuisine. However, we are still hoping to gather more varieties of food to truly celebrate the diverse cultures in our community. If you haven't had the chance to contribute yet, we would greatly appreciate any dishes you can share. Please email Kirat - kirat@amesbury.school.nz if you're able to provide a dish or would like more information. Thank you for helping make this event a delicious success!

What to Expect:

  • Performances from our Kapa Haka group, Pasifika cultural team, and Dance Club and more!

  • The return of our crowd-favorite Bouncy Castle 🎉

  • An exciting Book Fair to explore

  • Surprise! – More fun to come!

Calling All Whanau – Share Your Culture Through Sampling Food! 🍽️

Do you have a favorite family recipe you'd love to share with our community? This is your chance to showcase your cultural cuisine at our Cultural Evening! Let’s celebrate our shared heritage, delicious food, and community spirit!

Please let Kirat know as soon as possible: kirat@amesbury.school.nz or if you need more information about food sampling or bake sale. This will help us organise places and furniture ready to showcase your cultural kai.

How to Get Involved:

  • Showcase your cultural food for sampling at the event!

  • Help celebrate and share the rich diversity of our school community.
