Co-curricular Lessons in Term 3

John Murrihy —

Are your tamariki interested to learn new things - or want to improve their existing skills - sign up for our co-curricular classes

Co-curricular lessons begin on Wednesday in Week 1 so sign up as soon as possible and, having created additional space, we can fit your tamariki into whichever classes they may want.

Invoices for Term 3 have already been sent out for those involved in co-curricular lessons this term. If you wish to make changes please let John know as soon as you can.

Even though it is winter we are still running Cricket sessions. We have the Hall available so weather is not a factor. Chess started in Term 2 and has proved so popular we will be adding a further class in Term 3, so there is plenty of room if your tamariki are interested - even if they have never played before.

We have a range of opportunities to participate in small group or individual music, drama, communications skills and sport with specialist teachers and we currently have spaces available.

  • Guitar

  • Ukulele

  • Keyboard

  • Violin

  • Drums

  • Speech & Drama

  • Communications Skills

  • Rhythmic Gymnastics

  • Cricket (new in 2026)

  • Chess (new in 2026)

Plus, if you wish for your child to learn an instrument not listed above, please let us know, as we may be able to provide individual lessons.

There's something for almost everyone. Whether your child has never tried any of these activities before or is looking to advance their already accomplished skills, here is a great opportunity to do so and it all happens at school and within school time.

We have all of our co-curricular teachers returning from last term and they are all excited about continuing the journey with the continuing tamariki and to share their passion with new students.

If you know nothing about our co-curricular lessons please have a look at the details on our website.

If you are interested or you require more information please contact John (communications@amesbury.school.nz).
