Share & Celebrate Term 2 - Week 10
Share & Celebrate is an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of our ākonga/students.
One of the highlights of our week is taking a moment to recognize the incredible mahi, leadership, and kindness that happens across our kura. From great choices in the hub to positive activities out on the playground, our fortnightly Share & Celebrate gives us the perfect chance to spotlight the wonderful things happening.
Our students are doing amazing things outside of school, too! If your child has a recent achievement or success they’d love to share, please drop an email to their whānau teacher so we can give them a shout out.
We also want to extend a massive thank you to Wee Ai and Rupert’s buddy whānau group for being such fantastic hosts.
Ka rawe to all the ākonga recognized this week. We are proud of you all!
Gar Kee: Juliani’s mum wanted to give GK a shout out for being such a kind and caring teacher. You listen, support ākonga and really take care of them. Thank you!
Zorig: You made an amazing Minion figure out of lego. You brought in a picture from home and worked really hard to make it look just like Carl the Minion. You kept on trying, even when it was hard. Ka rawe, awesome work Zorig!
Bailey: You showed kindness and care with your teina buddy last week in our AGT. You were patient and calm, and kept supporting your teina to sit well. Ka rawe, what a great tuakana you were. And a thank you for arranging the library so parents had somewhere comfortable to sit and relax during the disco. Your initiative in asking the teachers for permission to set it up was commendable!
Arkaine: Thank you for all your help in the mornings with untangling laptop and iPad charges. It was a big job and I appreciate all your help!
Yamuna & Ana: This term, you have both been looking at your goals and focused on what you need to do to achieve them, particularly in writing. Keep up the good work!
Daniel, Kevin & Benji: Well done, you were the first ready to the mat and ready to learn in spelling. Without being asked you had everything ready and got started writing the date. Sarah was also impressed with all your contributions in class. Tino pai for taking ownership of your learning and being prepared. Keep up the good work!
Hunter and Sophia P: It was great to see you expanding outside of your social circle and connecting with one another through your travel experience going to Japan! Isn’t it cool when we learn new things from new people?
Saud and Dishan: You two are always the first to pack up and move to the whāriki every morning when the bell rings. I love how consistent you have been at doing that, and you always wait patiently for the kaiako to start the day with a karakia. Tino pai!
Izzy: You have been consistently working hard to listen and showing excellent mat sitting behavior during literacy time. Every day, without fail, you help Sara set out the handwriting books. You have also been working hard at writing and thinking through your sentences when you compose them. Ka Pai for your great effort.
Tinilau, Luca, Vedant, Dilan, Queenieva, Dinuli, Manahel, Ira, Leben, Zara, Annie: Thank you to the team for your help decorating the Hall for our Disco. You stepped into a leadership role and carried it out with ease — the Hall looked fantastic and received numerous compliments.
Booth: Thank you for coming to our disco and helping to sell the chippies. We know that loud and busy events can be challenging, so we really appreciate the effort you made to be there and help out. Your support made a big difference, and we are very proud of you.

Team A won all of their matches and finished in 1st place, which means they’ve qualified for the National Final later this year. Team C came 6th in the competition and Team B and D also did an amazing job. Kishore and Hanson were recognised as the top performers on their boards (Board 2 and Board 3), which is a great individual achievement. Ka pai to all the players!
Alicia and Rufus: You have produced thoughtful and analytical written responses in your literacy sessions. Well done for pushing beyond the literal meaning and connecting ideas between different texts.
Zachary: The Te Rito kaiako want to thank you for helping us organise the tamariki for school photos. You didn’t hesitate to get down on the ground and help our tamariki button their school shirts and tie laces.
Divith, Hana, Benny, Divij, Hashem, Ariana, Aditi and Zachary: What a well prepared, and well organised group of presenters you were for our Learning Celebration!
