Community Evening

Students and parents alike were enthralled with our performers and the delicious food at our Term 4 Community Evening on Wednesday.

It was lovely to see a good turn out of whanau on a beautiful evening to share our cultural celebration. The chance to learn a little more about the myriad languages spoken in our school community was particularly fascinating.

A big thanks goes out to all our performers, and our food providers, who kept us well fed and entertained while we caught up. Thanks also to the Asia New Zealand Foundation, who generously sponsored the event.

We also want to thank Sean, Angela, Demelza, and Lesley, for their informative, thought-provoking presentations. Great discussion was had around the importance of bilingualism in New Zealand, and Sean gave us some useful insights into the work of Asia New Zealand.

More photos from the evening can be enjoyed on our Flickr album.
