2021 Kapa Haka Festival

The annual St Brigid's Kapa Haka Festival will now take place on Sunday 28th November at Rāroa Normal Intermediate Hall, Haumia Street, Johnsonville. This festival is for those ngā ākonga (students) who have signed up to be part of the Kapa Haka performance group.

This is not a competition but a way in which our children can share, in a supportive environment what they have been working on at school.

Please complete this google form by Friday the 22nd October as we need to know if your child/ren can attend (please fill in a separate form for each child in your family). The organisers have asked for approximate numbers on the day, as seating is limited. There is no charge for entry.

While we are very fortunate to have Belinda Beazer, a parent at Amesbury School, busy organising the uniforms required for the festival. We are desperate for your help as we need to make/sew a lot more this year. You do not need to be an expert on the sewing machine and all material, instructions or support is provided throughout. If you are able to help iron or sew or know someone who could help, please get in touch with Belinda on: bbeazer@hotmail.com. This would be greatly appreciated.

Second Hand Uniforms for Sale

If you are looking for second hand uniform items at a very reasonable price, whether as a replacement for an outgrown uniform or simply as a backup that is kept at the bottom of your child's school bag, please check out the range available and how to purchase it
