Amesbury's Cross Country Results

We had blue skies and dry conditions for this year's Cross Country event held on Thursday 5th May. It was a particularly joyous occasion as we also welcomed our whānau back on the school grounds for the first time.

There was a little blood, a lot of sweat, but no tears as the Amesbury ākonga took to the running tracks around the school grounds on a crisp, sunny, Autumn day. The slight adjustment of the course due to the on-going construction didn’t cause our runners any setbacks as they paced around the wetlands and finished in front of our vocal spectators, next to the Koru Hub.

It was great to see so many smiling faces crossing the finish line and celebrating with friends, teachers and whānau members. Credit to all the hard work and practice that our tamariki put in over Term 1 and the holidays. Results can be viewed by following this link.

The top 5 finishers will now advance to the next stage. Our Years 4-6 will travel to Granada North Park on Tuesday 24th May, while our Years 1-3 will compete at the Junior Invitational being held at Amesbury on Thursday 2nd June.

Thank you all for coming along and enjoying our very successful 2022 Cross Country event.
