Urs speaking at Edutech May 2016 by Beckie Duffy

Amesbury impresses at Edutech

Lesley and Urs spoke to more than 1,500 delegates about the "Amesbury Difference" when they attended the  Edutech Conference in sunny Brisbane, earlier this week.

Edutech is the largest education conference in the Asia-Pacific region and draws in more than 6,000 attendees from across the education spectrum. As invited speakers, it was a great opportunity to share some of our thoughts and experiences on how to deliver personalised learning for each student.

Lesley challenged listeners to re-think their approach to educational thought and take a broader view that children should be insiders in their learning AND they should be given the tools and skills of traditional knowledge. Urs then gave practical advice on how educators can combine these seemingly opposing views, using examples from our own environment here at Amesbury.

The feedback from delegates was very positive, with many commenting that it was great to hear the theory as well as how to put it into practice. Lesley said that she and Urs were approached in hotel lifts, in the street and at the airport by attendees who had found practical value in what they had heard from the Amesbury team.

It's great to have Urs and Lesley back, and thanks for spreading some of the Amesbury love to the world!
