Amesbury School

Welcome to Term 4!

We started the term with an addition to the Amesbury whanau!  Congratulations to Mike and Chrissy on the arrival of their beautiful daughter, Nyala.

There are also a lot of other exciting things happening this term, so because it often becomes a very busy time for families as we head towards the end of the year, we hope that by giving you the dates now, you will be able to come along to many of the events.

In addition to the information from your child's whanau teacher, you will find key dates booked on the school calendar, with details for each event in 'school notices' on the website.  If you would prefer to get notification each time we post news and notices, just enter your email in to the school blog.  Alternatively if it works better for you to sit with a cuppa in the weekend and read everything in one go, then we email this Digest (e-newsletter) to provide you with a fortnightly summary of our school communications, with the upcoming school wide events listed in the 'Notices and News' article.

You may have noticed the additional yellow lines recently painted in the car park.  Please do not park in these areas or double park behind parked cars - this includes waiting in your car or leaving your car unattended. It's just not possible for everyone to park and collect 100+ students at the same time so a free-flowing, uncongested carpark is safer for everyone.

Following on from the Science inquiry and fantastic Learning Celebration Expo at the end of last term (see the article for lots of photos), we're looking forward to seeing the amazing learning, discussion, ideas and project work that the students share with us for the current 'Living Creatively' inquiry.

Fingers crossed for great weather on Wednesday for the year 3-6 Athletics Day!
