Netball Round Up 2021

We had three teams entered into the Northern Suburbs Netball this year: Amesbury Ferns (year 4), Amesbury Aces (year 5) and Amesbury Allstars (year 6).

This season was once again interrupted by Covid & also maintenance at both Newlands College & Newlands Intermediate. Covid restrictions meant that when the teams could get back playing, no spectators or family were allowed, which was hard for supportive parents & grandparents.

A big thank you to all the players for showing great sportsmanship & pride in representing Amesbury. It is always great to see the players having fun with there friends & is awesome to watch the players develop & improve their skills over the season.

Netball at Amesbury would not be possible without the commitment of parents who volunteer their time to coach & manage the teams. A huge thank you to Belinda & Jack (Amesbury Ferns), Melissa & Mike (Amesbury Aces), and Jennifer & Louise (Amesbury Allstars). 

Finally, congratulations to the Amesbury Allstars (pictured) for winning their grade in the year 6 competition. It has been a pleasure to coach this team over the last few years, and to watch their confidence, skills & friendships grow. Well done girls & all the best for your netball going forward.
