Amesbury School

Kia ora

As I write this I am so glad that I am inside. After a lovely Saturday, today is a total contrast. So I hope that you are all comfortably warm and dry.

That reminds me, while the sports field is closed for the next little while - until the weather settles down and the field recovers from all of the rain - the kids do still play outside at morning tea and lunch. When this happens inevitably a few of them manage to end up quite muddy. We only have a limited supply of clothing that we can lend them to change into and it may not be the correct size. Consequently, can you please send your child(ren) along each day with a spare uniform inside a plastic bag so that, in the event they come to a wet or muddy halt, they will have something to change into.

Monday (9 August) at 2.30pm in our mihi whakatau for Term 3 and it would be wonderful if as many of our tangata whenua (Amesbury families) could come along to welcome all of our new families.

Don't forget, too, to come along for the Module 2 Learning Celebration and the Amesbury Awesomeness Awards at 1.50pm on Thursday 19 August. This is a great opportunity to see first hand the work that your child(ren) have been doing. We'll also follow this up with a more detailed article about the work that has been done in this module.

Apart from those few little things we wish you a great week ahead.

Take care

The Amesbury Team
