Inter-school Chess Tournament
Last Friday the Amesbury chess team competed at an inter-school tournament looking to qualify for the national competition.
Friday 9 August saw Amesbury's intrepid chess team travel to Johnsonville School for the qualifiers of the national school-level chess competition.
The standard of play was very high, and though our team didn't win enough of their matches to win the tournament, and therefore qualify for the next round, they had a great time and showed excellent sportspersonship.
